Chapter 14

She Says: Roger was here and Jason has his sink back! Yeah... reminding me plumbers make good money. I did get the opportunity to go and purchase the faucet, pay the bill and was present for the installation. Jason's turn next time, if there is a next time.

Only update is house now has a ERA sign out front. Old price is still listed, so not providing the link:( Biggest concern is how to address shedding season and the feline species as people come visit the house. Dreaded furballs are a reality.

I am still boycotting the Carolina Cup and the Masters that will occur this coming weekend. But sure I will find something to occupy myself...  Who knows, I may break down and go look at apartments.

Chapter 13

She Says: Thirteen is my lucky number, always has been. Back in my horseback riding days I new it would be a good event if that was my bib number. Viking was an eager bay gelding that had never seen a jump he couldn't take, dressage he was ambivalent about. We shall see what week 13 of the blog yields!

I braved the pollen Thursday and walked by houses in the neighborhood that are for sale. I was reminded how great our backyard is compared to most. I don't want to assume, but I believe the inside of our house is much better too. But, it is true (as I thought many a time) that our house is listed at too high a price per square foot. So in conjunction with Ringabell's move to ERA, we will move too at a slightly lower sale price.

My mind had been on and off pondering the where to walk/scenery when we move. There are great hills, a variety of animals, yards and people to see when I walk. It is fun to see the attempts and failures of projects and have brief conversations with fellow neighbors. My azaleas used to be the best, but now some vine competes for its attention (they are still eons better than the ones boasted at the Masters). There are so many routes to take, always a new path that each change of season brings new delights to my eyes. After the move, I assume my new path will be straight to Sydney Park to do laps. Ans yes, it wil always be Sydney Park to me..The change in scenery will not be as flexible and diverse, but I may be surprised.

And yes, Roger and I have been in touch. He does not like to pick out the plumbing hardware for clients (I can understand why), so I visited Columbia Supply  and will call him Sunday to schedule installation. faucet has been purchased and he will install it some time this coming week.

She Says: The pollen is in full force. The kind that should invoke instincts that prevent one from walking out barefooted to water the plants, but you go anyway and come back tracking the greenish yellow dust...

I can see green emerging in the grass, time to turn on the sprinkler (round two of pollen season!). Wonder how hot this summer will be?

Attended the 10th Annual Oyster Roast Communities In Schools of the Midlands has at 701Whaley last night. As always a great event!.

Jason reports the oysters were great. The Beaufort Stew was a close second to Jason's. Friends and former colleagues were out in full force.
It was sad to think about the friends no longer with us that helped to make the event fun. I did not make up for Linda's contributions to the silent auction...

Today is the annual St. Patrick's Day event in Five Points. Jason just emerged "I'm too old to go to Five Points, I'm too old to go to Five Points, I'm to old to go to Five Points, BUT I WANNA GO". I will continue my 13 year boycott!

Good news- sink no longer drips. Bad news- valve can no longer be turned on and off. Iffy news- stuck in off. Guess a plumber will have to be called...
