She Says: Offer on the house, short haircut, what next?!?! Maybe I'll win the lottery tonight (or I just jinxed myself). All in all, I am just in shock. Feels great and exciting with a bit of sadness. BUT, it ain't over till I'm sitting in the lawyers office signing papers at the end of May and getting a check.
I now accept that one of my non-negotiables is not realistic. There is
no such thing as an apartment on Main with a porch... one that I could
sit on and put a legal plant to grow. Pondering that.... It will really
all come down to where can the dinning room furniture and electric piano
fit. I'll let Jason share the piano story (it is turning into the piano
version of The Red Violin).

So now begins the hunt for a place to live. Will a condo owner at 1520 Main Street lease to us? 1520 is Jason's first choice and has the closest thing to a porch. We have asked about one and are waiting to hear back (convenient that the buyers agent has a listing in 1520, but I know she'd rather have the commission that a finders fee).

I finally went and really looked at Capital Places apartments online. Lofts at Louries looks really cool, but no pets (or at least they don't say pets when all others do). Berry's on Main looks like it has possibilities, they even have 3 bedrooms 3 bathrooms with the cool brick walls. Barringer only accepts cats. Kress has odd floor plans (well they are all odd - bathrooms only off bedrooms?). Do wish I understood why the leasing office was only open by appointment on the weekends. Will call Monday if no responses on the leasing of a unit at 1520.
Onward we go!!!!!!
